belt size

Postby DanR » Mon Oct 29, 2007 8:02 am

I am planning to run a 16" gristmill powered by the Cub. The Cub pulley is 4.5" wide with a good crown. The mill is 6" with a slight crown. I don't think the mill will be more than 10' away. What size belt do the experts recommend?

That seems reasonable. How about the width?

Since your drive pulley is 4 1/2" I'd go with a 4" belt.

If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem.

This is what I would do,,,,,, Wind a string around the belt path and then measure the string,,,,,hummmmm I think that will do it for ya :D :D :D :D
I can fix it,,,get me a bigger hammer.
