A Fish Story

Postby redfin » Wed Feb 06, 2008 7:38 am

Thought you might find this amusing!

A Fish Story

A cajun was stopped by a game warden in South Louisiana recently with two ice chests full of fish. :(
He was leavin' a cove well-known for its fishing.

The game warden asked the man, 'Do you have a license to catch those fish?'
'Naw, sir', replied the cajun. 'I ain't got none of them there licenses. You must understand, these here are my pet fish.' :?

'Pet fish?'

'Yeah. Every night, I take these here fish down to the lake and let 'em swim 'round for awhile. Then, when I whistle, they jump right back into these here ice chests and I take 'em home.'

'That's a bunch of hooey! Fish can't do that.'

The cajun looked at the warden for a moment and then said, 'It's the truth Mr. Government Man. I'll show ya. It really works.' :D

'O. K', said the warden. 'I've got to see this!'

The cajun poured the fish into the lake and stood and waited.

After several minutes, the warden says, 'Well?'

'Well, what?', says the cajun.

The warden says, 'When are you going to call them back?'

'Call who back?' :?:

'The FISH', replied the warden!

'What fish?', replied the cajun.

Moral of the story: We may not be as smart as some city slickers, but we ain't as dumb as some government employees.
You can say what you want about the South, but you never hear of anyone retiring and moving north.

We do know which way is north. But it is so unimportant that most people down here don't care. Except when the north wind blows. Something is fishy up there. Craig, give me your address and I'll send you a big bag of corn meal I just ground. Really

Hi RedFin,

Sounds like a "recycled" Justin Wilson story to me. LOL   I did enjoy it very much.

When we lived in Natchez we had a friend that worked down your way for Humble oil Co. out in the bayoues and he could really tell some "fish" stories, cajun fish stories that is. Wonderful part of the world.

Russ

I dont know if it is a Justin Wilson redo , but sounds like it could be. The funny thing about the story is I probably know 10 guys that could actually pull that off.

this brings back the old question of, "Do all liars fish, or are all fisherman liars?"
If you are not part of the solution,
you are part of the problem!!!
