Not frostquake, real earthquake; magnitude 2.6, Feb 3 at 2:30PM centered about 11 miles northwest of Potosi. For John and Flash, that's just across T HWY from the slime pond, and before you even think it, it was over 8 miles deep, the mine shaft at Indian Creek only went to 960 feet.

that would have been about 8 miles north of me. As I understand it, people right above a deep earthquake frequently do not feel much, the shifting is sideways so the shakes are felt in outward circles.

Local grave diggers say the ground is frozen 30 inches deep. it has been many years since ground has frozen that deep in this area.
