Modified a MF share to fit a Cub 194 plow.

Bought this plow from a friend a couple weeks ago and the share, point and heel were wore slap out. I didn’t want to spend more money than it’s worth so I welded the holes in a MF share and cut it down and redrilled and countersunk the holes. It wasn’t the easiet thing to do but saved some money. Had a point and heel from other plows that are usable.

Our son has been asking for an excavator with a thumb on it for 3 years. We can’t find one other than a small precision scale one that would be broken in no time. My wife said “just take one of his to work and make a thumb”. Okay, I brought one of his excavators in a couple weeks ago. He noticed it missing and I told him I was going to make a thumb when I had time. He’s been asking everyday. Finally got around to it.

Got the mounting bracket welded together and had to put it on a diet. It was too heavy and weighed the boom arm down.

After making the bracket out of steel, decided aluminum would be best for the thumb arm. Got it done and took it to get powder coated.

Have drill bits in it for pins, ordered some pins from McMaster Carr.

He loves it. He had to get his vest a customer gave him so he could do some construction work he said.

Back to work on the Lely from page 21. The ejector disc is in good shape but the vanes are not. I found some new vanes but multiplied x 6 plus shipping I’d have more in them than I gave for the spreader. Got some pipe, angle for a straight evenly spaced edge and a cut off wheel on a grinder and made 6 new ones. Put a small curve in them with the press.
