A total ZOO!!!

Postby Dale Finch » Fri Apr 05, 2024 1:24 pm

I had heard about the buc-ee's gas centers, but this is ridiculous! If you've never been to one, think twice about it... As I said it's a zoo!

I did see one interesting thing, however:

We just had one open about 15 miles away. I think they started in Texas and are expanding. Just one in Colorado now. 112 gas pumps, 12 charging stations. Passenger vehicles only, no semis.

Buc-ee's is supposed to be opening one in Huber Heights (near Dayton) soon. Close enough for a short day trip, for Barnyard, we will be expecting a full report after it opens.

A little over an hour away.. I doubt I will be there.
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

We haven’t been to one, yet, but will, no doubt, visit the one in Huber Heights sometime while passing through. About an hour from us, as well but sorta on the way to a couple shows we attend.

A couple years ago when we travel to most of the Cub fests, we would stop for gas there usually the cheapest place around for gas. Other than that no it is not worth stopping. JMHO

I've been to a few of them in Texas and Georgia. And yes, it's a zoo, but that's kinda how I treat it, entertainment! Something different with a wide variety that you don't see in the average fuel stop. And the breakfast brisket taco (burrito) is pretty tasty!

I won't go out of my way to visit one, but will definitely stop at one, if it's convenient.

My sister did say the brisket sandwich was absolutely the best she's had. And the gas price was very good!

Maybe if I pass one in a less touristy area, so less chaotic, I'll try one for lunch!

Yes the brisket is good. Always get the ones at the top on the racks. The freshest. Don't stop at one during spring break in the southern states.

We went to Branson just this past Thursday for the weekend. I noticed the signs for Buc-ees heading down I-44 west....must be one just east of Springfield, Missouri. Never heard of them nor did we stop for this one.
