Thanks to all for the kind words,thoughts and prayers.
I'm not giving up without a fight. After spending most of Oct 25 at Mass. Eye&Ear in Boston being tested,measured,mapped,ultrasound,blood test,etc.,I'm sure they know exactly what they're doing and where the tumor is.I'm in good hands and hoping for the best possible outcome-destroy the tumor,only partial loss of vision and no cancer showing up in the liver in the future.

Update-Had my surgery Tues. Nov.8 to sew in the tantalum rings at the edges of the tumor on the back of my right eye.Back to Mass. Eye and Ear Wed. for followup exam and instructions for care,then across street to Mass. General for forming of the face mask and bite piece. They had us for 3hrs. which included a practice run on the proton beam machine.Will return to MGH for 5 proton beam irradiation treatments(1 a day for 5 days)starting Nov. 18-delay allows time for the eye to heal.Then a 6-wk. checkup followed by visits to Eye and Ear every 6 months for 5yrs. Met some really nice folks from as far away as Alabama with the same problem as mine,and saw some others that had even bigger problems.

Sounds like I sent a customer for your long stripe Cub that has been through a similar experience. (I told him 'just buy it')

My eye has a sympathy itch for you Mike. Dang poison ivy Hope your recovery and treatments go well for you. It's close to miraculous what modern medicine can do and we are lucky to have the best nearby in Boston.

Mike, my daughter had Melanoma cancer in her right temple area. She had 3 surgeries, but has been cancer free for 6 years now. You can beat it.

Take care Mike, you're still in my thoughts. My job has placed me on many of the floors in both of the facilities you mentioned and I can't imagine a better place for care - you're in good hands.
