It's been quite a while since I last posted. There has been a lots going on with my Dad and now me. Dad is now under hospice care and is slowly fading away. He is good with things and knows where hes headed but it will still be difficult when that time comes. Its been very taxing working and having to watch after him. I stay with him on Mondays and Tuesdays and again on Thursday night and Friday night and work 10 hrs a night 4 days a week too. So to throw a wrench into all that I've been putting off getting my knees fixed for the last 6 yeas and about a month ago my Doctor said it was time so...... on Monday the 10th of April (same day as Big Hoss) I'll be going into surgery for a bi-lateral knee replacement. Surgeon says its a piece of cake.....right at least he has had both his done so he can speak with a tiny bit of experience ! He a good man so I'm not worried. Just wanted to bring all you guys and gals up to date and let you know I still have my 48 in the shop and it still runs great!! So this coming Monday please say a little prayer for another cubber
and my brother and sister who will be caring for Dad without my help for several weeks. Who knows maybe someday we can have a retro-Stonethrow !!!

Time for an update!
I bought an old tractor all dusty and worn,
knew nothing about her just the year she was born
I washed her and greased her and painted her red
Now she lives happily right here in my shed.

Ron, Sorry to here about your Dad. I always enjoyed a chat with him at Stonethrow. Take care of those knees and Rosie and I will keep you in our thoughts and prayers.
A retro-Stonethrow sounds great. Do they still have the parade in Maysville. It was always fun clowning around there.

There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

Thanks for the update. You have a lot on your plate right now. We'll be thinking and praying for your surgery next week and for your dad. Lost my dad a couple years ago, then my mom in February. It can be tough.

Mary Lou and I speak of you often and we definitely vote for a retro Stonethrow. Take care of yourself, old buddy, and keep in touch.

Ron - I am sorry to hear of your dad's condition. I still remember the first time I met him. Good luck with the knee replacements. Janet has had both of hers done (one at a time) and is doing well with them. Follow their instructions for re-hab and you should be fine.

Sorry to hear about Mr. Harold. One of my favorite cubbers. I look at his picture on the old B frequently when I go in the shop.
Keep us posed. Looking forward to another Stonethrow.

Re: Time for an update!
Thanks for all the thoughts and Prayers. Everything went very well and I now have two shiny new knees, or at least that's what the Doc says ! The pain is getting less and less until the PT gets ahold of me ! Which I have to see him tomorrow!! Really the PT is doing a outstanding job I know have 115 degrees of range of motion and its only been 3 weeks tomorrow. Lots of work to do but looks like things are shaping up really well, God is Good !!! Again thanks so much for the thoughts and Prayers
