I know I don't need one, and I don't know how often I would use one, but I have been thinking about getting an action camera. I know Go-Pros are very popular, but I don't know if I can justify the price of one with what limited use I would use it for. Other ones I have ran across are Remali, Akaso, and one that seems too cheap to be any good, Davalo, which got 4 out of 5 stars from Amazon with over 1000 reviews.
Anyways, does anyone have any real time experience with action cameras, and apart from a Go-Pro, experiences with other brands? Thanks.

Re: Action Cameras
Very limited. Having said that, the ones I have used were pretty much the same. Some had more memory, some had water proof cases, some were very, very small. They all worked pretty good taking video. They weren't high quality video but okay. You get what you pay for. The thing I think you need to look closely at is how they mount to get the "action". Holding a camera no matter how small "sucks". The more ways you can attach the camera the better. I have one with a clip you can clip to clothing. Clip in pocket, get video of the ground in front of you. If I could clip it to my ball cap it would be great, If only the clip would let me turn the lens so I wouldn't be videoing the front of my britches. Another one has a small clamp for bicycle handle bars. I don't ride bicycles anymore. My advice get the one with the most different attachment methods. Just my opinion.

Re: Action Cameras
I've not had much interest in these, I'm amazed how inexpensive that one on amazon is. You wouldn't need to use it much to justify that.

Re: Action Cameras
The memory card for the camera will come in around the same price. They're recommending a class 10 micro SD. It does not come with a memory card. Still not a bad camera for the price compared to whats out there. For videoing around the home place and family not bad.

Re: Action Cameras
I have used one of the cheap ones from Ebay. It worked well on the video quality. I did not like the sound in most cases but I was in a noisy environment.
