Blowing the dust off my other project.... 66 stang
Well got reacquainted with my mustang ... had her on hold while I did the cub, it was a good break, restored her about 10 years ago, she was almost scrap worthy at that time. Never rebuilt the motor, runs great but was starting to leak oil and carb was do for a rebuild, pulled motor out end of last summer put all new seals and gaskets in her, now I'm replacing most of the electrical in her along with new exhaust and because of the old screwdriver in the back pocket trick, I have to re-upholster all the seats.... Most of the parts should be here this weekend, so that should keep me busy for a little, I'll try to find some pre and post restore pictures

Had issues with original carb, tried rebuilding it a 3 times, gave up and picked up a new one (what a difference).. Replaced original brake master cylinder with a dual bowl for safety reasons and put her new exhaust on

Re upholstered seats.. Was a cool day so thank God for wood stoves.. Didn't realized how much it took to put new ones on, thought they just slip over....wrong... Needed that stove to keep new ones somewhat soft and able to stretch.. Nightmare was front seats where ridges had to be worked into padding ... Pulled through and hog ringed... Fingers are still aching lol

Kudos on the restoration. I'm sure you'll be glad when it's all done. Looking great so far! Is it a drop top? I had a 65 convertible back in the day (70's). I did a ton of work on it, too much to go into, suffice it to say she was a real beast. A motor that would spin 7500 rpm all day, 4 speed, drive train upgrades including a 9" diff running 3.90 gears with a Detroit Locker. Of course I sold it just before they went up in value. Anyway - looking good!
