The girls gave me a pair of barn lights for my birthday in June. Just finished installing them last week. Had a friend give me a 2-lamp flood light with motion detector, so I disassembled the detector and used it for the barn lights. They have a manual switch, the detector and each light has a photo-cell. So, I keep them on all the time; the photocell keeps them off during daylight and the motion detector turns them on when motion is detected at night.
The lights are LED rated at 42w generating 3800 lumens.

Re: New Barn Lights
Nice.
Thought, thieves, power outage. Install one battery powered light inside the shop/garage that is activated by the motion detector.

Re: New Barn Lights
Thanks for all the compliments.
My birthday gift was actually a DeWalt AM/FM radio with built-in battery charger for power tools. I took the Milwaukee tool path a couple years ago. So, I returned the radio/charger to Lowe's and ordered barn lights instead. Cost was about $7 less than the radio. Can use the lights a lot more than the radio--already have two radios in the barn! Aren't I terrible?
Ah, I love my girls. They give such great gifts!
