A few pics from Barnyard Bash ‘22

Had to come home this morning but it was great getting back to the Bash after 2 years away. I managed to take a few pictures which is unusual for me, so I thought I’d share for those who wanted to be there but couldn’t.

"Better late than never" we got tied up side dressing corn the minute I got home from the bash...finally had some time to re-size pictures to post.

Cubbrian's 154 Lo-Boy had a driveshaft rattle to be repaired

The engine was slid forward to replace the worn driveshaft coupler

The clattering culprit!

Newcomer Ron had a cub that was "running then locked up" before he bought it. After much testing, and inspecting the valve action, we decided to remove the head

Connecting rod for cylinder #3 had broken

Dale Finch brought her tractor that had been lacking oil pressure. After several diagnostics were tried it was determined that the Oil Pump housing was the culprit. And so they set off on Splitting the tractor

Ron in position to begin surgery on the oil pump

Sliding back together with a resurfaced pump and a new throw out bearing while the machine was split

A crowd came around to see the test run...the repair was successful with plenty of oil pressure

Barnyard gave me the chance to run a sickle mower for the first time

Mowing away!

A casualty ensued...the wooden Pitman arm had reached the end of its life

After repairing the pitman arm, Jo Beyer wanted a turn mowing

Barnyard set out to rake up the hay we mowed

Our gracious host in his natural habitat

Our firebug Jo made sure we stayed warm with our weekend-long fire

Would it be a bash without folks standing around to visit?

Lots of brainpower hard at work

Ron's tractor successfully started with a used piston and rod provided by Barnyard and loaded its self on the trailer at the end of the bash

Bob McCarty stayed busy inside of Carburetors this bash
