Buckeye Cub Tug is just around the corner

Postby 1541 » Thu Jul 13, 2023 9:25 am

Wow, it is almost the end of July already. I just told Bonnie that I am almost ready for Memorial Day.

Preparations are well underway. Everything for the event has been pulled down from the loft and the Cub Tug Kitchen has been power washed and will be setup this weekend. The Clay Haus will be closed for vacation Cub Tug week so the Thursday early arriver dinner will be held on site. Bonnie and Janet have made a bunch of homemade meatballs and I understand that there will be homemade sauce for a spaghetti dinner Thursday evening.

Everything else you know and love will be here. Friday morning pancake breakfast followed by open shop. Friday evening pulled pork and turkey and close the evening with Karaoke and our memorial service. (We try to keep a list of folks we have lost throughout the year. Let us know if there is someone you wanted added to our memorial list).

Saturday morning is the world famous Lildog's Mongolian Omelet Bar, shop time, The Cub Tug at 1:00 p.m. followed by dinner and we close out the evening with Sara Simmons concert.

Please, let us know if you have any projects that require specialized tools and we will work to have them available.

We made the local paper this week: https://www.perrytribune.com/events/article_91f6c7e0-2005-11ee-b4b4-bb4c0584ac4f.html

We are looking forward to seeing everyone.

Plan to be tere with a trailer load of goodies for sale. Trying to figure out what small projects to bring.

No tickets required. Just show up and enjoy the fun. It is a great way to meet many of the members of this forum.

I don't supply kits or many parts. If you need them, bring them along.

Thanks - is anyone selling entire tractors? I have been looking for a Cub locally and was thinking if people are selling full machines it may be worth pulling my trailer up. Looked at one for $1400 today, turns out the rear final drive was cracked, the exhaust manifold was broken, needed 4 tires and had more leaks than the coffee filter so my search continues....
Thanks

I am already loaded. Had I known sooner, I have a pretty good 58 model with a sickle mower. Too late to unload and reload now.

Go ahead and drive to the Cub Tug...maybe you can follow Barnyard back home and check out his cub?!
I'm sure you would enjoy the Tug, and you'd have the opportunity to meet a fine bunch of IH folks!! :tractor:

Ended up finding the exact model I wanted today - a 57 Lo-Boy.

Going to try and come up tomorrow and walk around for a bit. Still need some front wheel weights!

THANKS EVERYONE
