Not sure if this is the right section, but I didn’t see an attachments section. This 8 foot drop spreader came with the Cub I bought recently. I was wondering if anyone knows who it was made by. I looked online and couldn’t find pictures of any that looked like this. It is light gray and red, but it looks like it may have been painted at one time. I can see in some spots what look like brush strokes. I can’t find any tags or any kind of ID on it. Someone on another forum asked me if it was homemade, but it looks too well done to me. I can get more pictures if needed.

I assume the landscape timber tongue with the hitch tied on with wire is not original.

Probably not. There were a lot of short line companies that made machines of that sort. Some were regional, so think locally. It has several castings. Look them over for part numbers or company logos. Look at images for something that matches. The control lever assembly looks unusual, watch for things that match.

Thanks. I will take a closer look and see if I can find any numbers or logos stamped into anything. Seems likely that it could be low production. I spent a lot of time looking at pictures online, and couldn’t find anything that looked the same. That’s why I posted here hoping someone would recognize it.
