Toro Zipper
Does anybody know about a Toro Zipper? I know a guy who wants to use one to mow weeds but bought one and the engine was bad. Can you rebuild them cheaply, can you retrofit a newer engine to one, would it be worth it to do anything to it? The guy I was talking to said that he has never had experience with one before. Just wondering if anybody else knew about one.

Re: Toro Zipper
2 wheeled garden tractors make good lawn ornaments. Gave 3 to daughter for lawn ornaments. Neighbor has been trying to get me to haul one off for several years.
It's often cheaper to purchase a Harbor Freight engine than a rebuild. And my reading is that the engine has a 4 to 1 reduction gear on the side which may make the cheaper engine impossible.
Rebuild cost wise; engine work, sickle bar work including knives and ledger plates, sickle bar swash mechanism.

I have an excuse. CRS.
