Don,
We have a Dewalt electric impact that we use for the lugnuts on the Dirt Modified . One of the crew members made the remark to not hammer them on because he couldn't get tham off with the lug wrench . You just have to remember to start the nut or bolt befor you pull the trigger or you can cross thread . Steve

My Brother-in-law uses his DeWalt on his Auger and his Manitowoc crane trucks. He has a generator that he uses for his welder etc. He also has an Air powered one. He prefers the DeWalt to the Chicago..

I have had a Millers-Falls electric for about 30 years and have busted many a tough nut&bolt/s loose with it. I bought another old one for $15 at the thrift store about a year ago and it also works great.

Now lets talk about the 12-volt one I have, 1-word discussion [Junk].

I used a B&D electric for years because it was more powerful than the Rodac air. Then I got a Milwaukee air. Different story... much better.

Sears has a sale on them every so often they torque to 200ft.lbs. if you let it. I'm on my second one in about 20 years now. I have used electric impacts since the early 70's.

The first electric impact gun i used were ingersol rand.
I'm technically misunderstood at times i guess its been this way my whole life so why should it change now.
