Silver Kings

Postby Bob McCarty » Tue Mar 13, 2007 8:13 pm

A friend has offered to sell me an R-38. He's downsizing due to age and health. I'm going to go look at it next month. It's a small tractor, the 38 refers to tread width, the R for rubber tires. Anyone on the forum happen to have a Silver King?

Never had one - always thought they were cool looking tractors.

If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem.

My wife says I don't listen to her. - - - - - - - - Or something like that!

Looks like the SR38 was made between 1937 and 1939. Capable of a road speed of 25 MPH. Manf. by Fate-Root-Heath company.

Post some photos please. Also any researched information woud be nice. Production numbers, price, etc.

Eugene, I won't have any pictures for a month. The best website I found is Silverkingtractors.com.
