You know we could keep this debate going for as long as this forum exists, but you can get good ones and bad ones from any brand. EVEN TOYOTA. I have strictly owned Fords since I started driving. (except for a 64 rambler) I have always had good luck, besides the 2001 Ford ranger my wife bought brand new. I have 9000 trouble free miles under my belt on my powerstroke, and I love it. It is the first truck I have ever bought brand new, and what a machine.

As for Big Dog, that gagging you mentioned is what I do everytime I pass a chevrolet dealer. Sometimes it requires an extra swallow. :(

I am a Ford man for 28 years drive nothin but Ford trucks 9 total and 3 diesels, my present trucks are a F250 PSD and F-350 PSD , the PSD is the best imop. I googled the recall and I think its for a CPS (Can Positioning Sensor) Ford has had some problems with the CPS (not mine) , originly the CPS cost over 140 dollars but recently Ford got the price down to 15 dollars so I bought one just incase. The problem with the CPS was the mounting tab would corrode and the CPS would go intermittent or just plain shut down the truck............ Many many years ago I was a mechanic at a multi brand Chrysler/Eagle/Mitubishi/Nissan dealer and believe me no auto maker is imune from problems.........

Each to his own huh? Good thing folks don't all think alike. Would be a boring world, Besides that I've had a lot of diff. make trucks and have found out that they haven't made one yet that I couldn't break something on it 8) 8) 8) Grump

I agree, Jackman. I like to dig people that claim their vehicles are best, but over the years I have owned Renault, Ford, Chevrolet, Rambler, Toyota, Dodge, Plymouth, and IH (scout), and as a 2 wya radio technician I have installed radios, service, and removed radios in practically everything on the road .I have seen good and bad in all of them. For the last several years I have owned all fords, not because I think they are better than anything else, but because the local dealer has done a fantastic job of taking care of any service I needed.
If you are not part of the solution,
you are part of the problem!!!

Just rolled over 372000 in my dad's 1996 chevy silverado(note-about 99% of those are when he was driving)... :D but its not the vehicle make its how the vehicle is treated in most cases. Everything is plastic now anyways with china stamped on it. I'll be purchasing an S-10 here shortly, justing waiting until the holidays are over.

Amen to that. After working on Chevrolets for 30 years and Fords for six years you can say that again.

That’s when a Chevy is just breaking in!!!!

This is a picture of an F250 odometer I took one day after a test drive. I couldn’t believe the miles the truck had on it.

well, not to bring in a new brand, but our '94 Jeep Cherokee 4x4 with the 4.0L I-6 motor just turned 276K. All we've had to replace was a radiator hose and an O2 sensor. Also the lift gate shocks, but that was my fault  Although it can only haul 5,000# it sure can go through any kind of snow or mud. I even towed some guys F-250 PSD out of a ditch, it was pretty funny when he couldnt get his electronic 4x4 to engage. 8)
