all,

i was looking through the "Classic Farm Tractors" in Flickr, and found this:

Image

and thought, "what a rip-off of the Cub! its model# is even 'C' !!!" but then, i saw the caption:

Earthmaster 1947 Model C- 1 of 99 Made in Statesville NC

and that's certainly contemporaneous with the Cub, eh? what do y'all think? anyone know about this [type of] tractor? here's a link to the Yesterday's Tractor website info for this tractor:

http://www.ytmag.com/profiles/emasprof.htm

and a link to the actual "Earthmaster" site, i think:
http://www.earthmastertractors.com/

the tractor looks pretty neat; the website is nothing like ours! :big shy:

this comparison makes me realize what a cool organization y'all have built here, and to which i hopefully and humbly may contribute! and, is a testament to the brilliant legacy of the Farmall Cub! hooooo-Ra!

That appears to be the same Continental engine as a M-H Pony and Allis G.

it's SO similar...

Postby boldpsi » Mon Dec 10, 2007 2:18 pm

even the steering design and seat/tins on the back look so Cub-ish...

and, that does NOT look like a circa 1947 alt, you're right, Carl!

wonder why the think died out?

Dad and I saw a restored one just like that at a tractor show a few months back. It was interesting.

I think power-king was just another competitor trying to get a market share, as was the Empire (made from WW2 Jeep parts) , can't remember a couple other's right now that were right along the lines of these! May have served a good run for a while but just died out or was taken over! thanks; sonny
