Implement Use?
Along with all my cub implements I recently inherited I have this sitting outside my pole barn. I'm new to all this farm stuff and not sure what everything is but all of you guys seem to know an aweful lot! Seems like some type of cultivator but setup differently and the disc down the center. I'm putting a link up instead of uploading so you can see the better quality and larger size. http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/546/1003783s.jpg/

Re: Implement Use?
Looks similar to a Cub-3 Spring Tooth Cultivator with a 3-point hitch. Pictures from different angles would be a help.

Re: Implement Use?
My first thought was a 2 row tow behind cultivator with a 3 point hitch. Why the coulter in the middle is a question however. My guess there would be that the PO simply didn't remove it when installing the cultivator on the tool bar. Vern

Re: Implement Use?
It is a rear-mounted tool-bar, set up as a 2-row cultivator. The colors look IH, but that may be the result of a repaint job. It goes on a tractor with a 3-point hitch and the hitch parts themselves have a Dearborn look to them. The thing that looks like a coulter (and would be if it was on a plow) is a rolling guide wheel (or rolloing guide fin). It is there to keep the cultivator from wandering side-to-side or swinging down hill when working on a side slope.

Re: Implement Use?
Ah that explains the disc. I inherited all this stuff from my grandfather, he tended to purchase alot of items at auctions in hopes of using them but never did. Probably goes along with the other tractors out there. Went from never operating a tractor to owning 4 and about 30 implements talk about . Sure beats running my little rototiller in the garden at home now though once I learned thanks to you guys here.
