Was talking to a gentleman here in MO a few weeks ago about the prices on the 9-2-8N's and the like after I watched a pretty decent shape one with everything working, fair tires, just needed a paint job, sell at auction for around $900. I was surprised because not all that long ago I would have expected for that to be $1,900. He buys and sells quite a few tractors and attends several auctions. He said over the last few years the prices on them have been dropping mainly due to most people now days get the new Kubota and make payments. It has more creature comforts, is easier to drive, is pretty and shiny, they don't have to work on it and if it breaks the warranty will fix it.

I've always liked the looks of the little Ford's, especially those front tires :D

WOW did that bring back memories.
My first tractor was a rolled 9N purchased from goodwill for 300.00
we got it running and sold it to some dude who drove it thru town to get it home.
Then I found out about cubs AND NEVER LOOKED BACK
Thanks Boss

I love the cub, but there will always be a special place in my heart for the "red belly Ford". I never owned one, but spent a lot of time on Granddad's and several of my neighbor's working on farms as a teen.

Nice collection, Boss. I like Ford tractors and wouldn't mind having one. I almost bought a 2000 a couple years ago, but it sold before I could get my wallet from the wife ;)

How about a pix of the 2110 ? Had a 21 year relationship with one at work. 1968 model I think. Have a slide pix of it somewhere. Also pix after it went arigcultural. Walked right by it at the tractor dr. and didn't even recognize it. Changed from yellow to blue and drinks diesel now. Good tractor but thirsty.

To paraphrase a friend of mine: " what do you have if you have a yard full of red bellies or Johnny pops and a cub? A junkyard and a ride home!"

I knew a gentleman that was a salesman at the IH dealership that my family dealt with from the late '40s until the 70s. One of my favorite stories of his was when he was demonstrating a Cub and 193 plow in the same field as a Ford. The dealer demo'ing the Ford got embarrassed and left!
