Weight of Allis B

Postby staninlowerAL » Sun Apr 10, 2016 8:32 pm

Anyone willing to guesstimate the weight of an Allis Chalmers B with sickle mower? I want to haul it along with a Cub LoBoy and belly mower about 125 miles one way. My rig is a F250 with a carhauler trailer rated at 6000 lbs. Thanks, Stan

Slightly north of 2000lbs I believe. The sickle I'd guess would add about 300-400 lbs.

Stan, TractorData shows it as 2060-4193 lbs. I would assume the lower weight is a bare tractor, while weights and implements add on the additional ton.

Yes, no ballast. I forgot about the tractordata.com resource. Looks like the Allis and LoBoy will come in at about 4000 lbs which should be OK on the carhauller trailer. Thanks Guys.

Don't forget trailer empty weight has to be added to that to get your total gross weight.
