Which forum section would I use to discuss the 404? I am looking to buy one right now and hope to have it by the weekend.

Please keep us updated. I have always liked the International (not Farmall) 404. Used to be several in my community, but they're all gone now.

Thanks Al. I thought International and Farmall were the same.

The International 404 is a utility tractor and is more squatty looking. The Farmall 404 is a row crop tractor and stands a bit taller.
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

Thanks. I won the auction for the 404 and will get photos soon. Nice tractor. New front tires. Haven't tried to get her running yet. I ordered the manuals. It's missing some of the side tin. It's a 64.

Re: International 404
Got the 404U home. Drained the gas, put fresh in, pulled the points and polished them, installed new coil, fixed a wire at the ignition switch and she purred like a kitten. This tractor sat unused for 5 years! Everything works as it should. I sure wish it had an oil pressure gauge instead of that idiot light. Any way to fit one on?
