Postby Sheila » Sat Jan 17, 2004 9:08 pm

I need (4) piston wrist pins for a 1948 60 cubic inch Farmall CUB. I can't seem to buy any except in a complete engine rebuilding kit, which I don't need. Does anyone know where they can be bought??

I need help guys!! Thanks.

Try Jamie at J.P. Tractor Salvage - http://www.jptractorsalvage.com or Tom at T.M. Tractor - http://www.tmtractor.com One of them should be able to fix you up.

Do you need the wrist-pins for the reason they are bad/lost or?. You can buy new pin bushings for $3.50 each.
Then came Bronson

Piston pins are available from Case/IH. The part # is 251241R2 and they cost about $10.00 each. The bushings in the connecting rods should be replaced if new pins are used. They will need to be pressed in and then reamed. Have a machine shop do this if you are not able. The bushings are also available from Case/IH. The part # is 251247R1 and they cost about $5.00 each.
