Nina and I finally made a couple dozen pints of Mayhaw Jelly yesterday. Sure will go good this winter with some good hot biscuits.

I googled MayHaw Trees and got a number of good hits.. this should help explain what a Mayhaw Tree and it's Fruit is....
I likes Cranberry Jelly, Crab-Apple Jelly and I imagine I would love Mayhaw Jelly ifn I was close to a Georgia Swamp

Rudi,
You need to come on down to GA so I can put you in touch with some pear preserves, blueberry jelly, blackberry jelly, some of the best apple jelly that will ever touch your tongue. We also make scuppernong jelly along with whatever else has a good crop that year. And you better believe, with those hot, buttered, home made biscuits, a fellow can just hurt himself. Don't ask how I know!!!!!!!!

I bought an old tractor all dusty and worn,
knew nothing about her just the year she was born
I washed her and greased her and painted her red
Now she lives happily right here in my shed.

Kodiak, If I get to make it to Stonethrow this year, I can bring the pear preserves and some apple jelly as well. I've been told that I make a pretty mean pan of Cathead biscuits. Don't know what kind of facilities for cooking you will have there, as I've never been to a Cubfest before, but cooking will be no problem!! I am an old Army cook, 6 years worth to be exact. Also my wife loves my version of sour dough pancakes.
Well gotta hush now, I've just had a hunger pain!!
