Fan hub removal
I just got a Harbor Freight catalog in the mail today. They have a large bearing separator and a 3 jaw puller for $9.99 each. For 20 bucks you can have a Cub hub removal tool set. Rent it for $10 a pop and it will pay for itself in no time.

Merlin,
Outside Dia 6.5"
Inside Dia 3.0" One side of the hole is chamfered to match pulley backside radius and put the pulling pressure into the meat of it.Without the chamfer the tool wil not seat flush against pulley backside.
Slot is 2.25"
The holes in the slotted plate are 1/2"-13. 3/8" edge distance
There is a 1/2" clearance hole in the center of the jack plate for reinstallation of the pulley by simply removing the jack. The other 2 holes in the solid plate are just 1/2" clearance.
The jack is a $10.00 cheepy 2ton. It is screwed on with 2ea. 10-32 screws to make it easier to deal with when setting up the tool.
The hardware came out of a machinst hold down kit but althread would probably work fine. You would need 12" long bolts 1/2-13 or althread.

WKPoor,
Could you show a picture of the chamfered side?
