Coulter For Turning Plow Needed

I just bought a cub one-way turning plow from Russ Leggitt.

It has the depth control lever, but no coulter. I don't know much about these but, if it makes any difference, this plow doesn't require a one point hitch, just a drawbar. Does anyone have a extra, usuable coulter they would be willing to part with :?:

TM Tractor has 3 on the web site. Seems a little high priced, but I'm not sure of the going rate. I've plowed without it and it does OK, don't think Rudi had one on his either.(see his slideshow)

I did see those on TM. The coulters are listed for right beam....I thought these might be for the two-way plows. Will they work on the plow I have :?:

Right beam colter on a two way is the same as the one way.

I see where two of the three coulters that were available are now "sale pending". Obviously, $50.00 + shipping is not too much, according to those buyers.

That is about as much as I paid for the plow :!:

I'll wait for a better price. :roll:

Obviously the plow was too cheap. If it will make you feel better, you can send me $50 and consider it part of the plow cost.

Yup, there certainly is a coulter on my 193. My 189 has 2, one for each beam.

Guys, don't forget David and his Dad. I think he has some coulters hanging around. Go to Chown Tractor Parts, or email dachown@nbnet.nb.ca . They ship to the States daily...

Just another avenue to consider and the shipping stateside is cheap.

Course, now I would like to find a jointer :idea:

I saw it on slide #10, pardon moi. And for goodness sakes, get your paw-in-law a RED cap. Sorta looks like one of them green and yellow varieties he's wearing!

Nah, it ain't one of them thar green/yellow things. It is a Kent hat, something like Home Depot. We usually wear the Kent ones while we are doing dirty work like in the bush or something.

I am wearing a Ray's Cranes hat - :roll:

gotta support the BIL :lol:

We save our red hats for Sunday go to meetin and stuff like that. Unfortunately his is a Massey hat

I am debating whether or not to add some more pics. Plowed the next section but hit a soft spot :oops:

Rudi, you may laugh about saving your red hat for Sunday go to meetin', but my neighbor across the street had a death in the family. I noticed that when he left for the services today he had his "dress" ball cap on.

While shopping for Mother's day last week, my oldest daughter drug me into one of those trendy teen/young adult clothing stores for some bonus shopping. Plastered all over the place was a line of John Deere clothing. :shock:

What tha hey!!! Not one RED item. I say we buy the Farmall name and start a line ourselves!!
