A drive by "Chickening" that is!
As writen in my other post on cooking a rooster... I said that I've got to get rid of a few birds, well a friend of my wife's said he has a couple of hens and could use a rooster. Problem is that he lives on one of the towns side streets but is still well within the town. His neighbors may object to me dropping off a rooster (not all were raised here ) so he asked if we'd wait until dark. So picture this, with my wife driving and my daughter and I are sitting with a rooster on our laps trying to keep it calm (but not being very sucessfull) we pull up to his house with the lights off. We roll the window down, ease up to the fence and toss the rooster out the window, over the fence and speed off.
There you have it! Farmingdales first major crime!
A drive by chickening!

Funny
I can only imagine, sure hope you found the right yard. Just think of someone waking up heading out to get the paper and being attacked by a homeless rooster. Jersey is a tough place for sure.

I was going to give him one of the calmer of the birds but my daughter insisted on making the pick so he got one that likes to crow and chase people. If my wifes friend asks I'll just play dumb, wasn't like that at home, must be the new home. She'll see him again tonight so we'll find out how it went over.

Roosters do make for good alarm clocks though

Yep, those neighbors should look at the bright side, they can throw away their alarm clocks!

The rooster should also cut down on trespassers and help with his share of the insect population.

Folks near here seem to do the driveby's with a lot of cats they don't want. Can't take them all in and ammo is getting expensive. Just kidding, I haven't shot one YET! Grump

Just an up date on the relocated rooster. Saw him yesterday standing proud and crowing not 20 feet from where we left him.
