I am looking for a good IT manual, there are several on ebay, not sure which one will offer the best for total restore.
anybody have a good source for one with all the specs and teardown info.

If you are looking for I&T manuals, they are available at most farm and ranch stores or tractor supply stores. I have I&T manuals for some of my tractors. I&T manuals provide a quick reference, but not a detailed reference. If you are an experienced mechanic the I&T manuals will probably suffice.
If you are looking for the most useful information, I would go with the IH service manual and the IH parts manual for the tractor.

I would try to find the Blue Ribbon Service Training Course manual for the Farmall M it was published by IH for service training mechanics. They come up on ebay

However the GSS-5035 Magneto Service is already on the Cub Manual Server.
