Have what looks like a Woods mower (3-blade) on a Cub---but no mower nameplate or label or other ID that I can see. Where's the nameplate usually found?
Next time I'm working under it I'll at least measure the overall cutting
width...

IH has a mower that is also a 3-blade 59" deck, and looks very similar to the Woods. From what I've seen, there is a minor difference in the mounting:
If you have a round pipe running from the middle of the deck back between the final drives, and there are two flat straps connected to the deck via pivot pins, it's a Woods mower.
If you have no round pipe, and the two flat straps are rigidly mounted to the deck, it's an IH.
