grass
Can anyone recommend a pre-emergent herbicide for use on a tall fescue lawn? I got the broad leafs under control and now go after the unwanted grasses.

Re: grass
Dan,
What species of grasses are you trying to control. It can make a difference in the herbicide you need to use.

Re: grass
Bill, I probably have every weed known in the state but primarily ground onion, lespedeza, pennywort, purslane, and spurge. I got that from looking in the local Co-Op book.

Re: grass
Stop by your local farm and ranch store. They will have a catalog listing different types of "weeds" and the recommended control chemical.
I have one such catalog, some place. The catalog was a free hand out from the local farm supply store.

I have an excuse. CRS.

Re: grass
While it is not a pre-emergent, Hi-Yield Grass Killer is safe to use in flower beds and the vegtable garden. Will kill grasses, not weeds, and will kill corn, okra, and egg plant. There is a list of stuff it will and won't kill on the label.
