and the second International Magneto
Continued from other post, I was wondering if anyone could help identify this International Magneto. It has "TYPE-E4A" on it as well as a stamped number "25079". It notes "US PATENTS 1793586, 1815340, 1832036â€. It is also stamped with smaller numbers 69882 on the case. Thanks for any help on this one as well!

Re: and the second International Magneto
Probably the same tractor as the previous photo. This one looks to be complete. The previous one is missing parts.
As far as which model or make of tractor. For sure the magneto was used on one of the IH's tractors. And maybe some other model/make of tractor - machine.
The evolution of IH magnetos was the E4A, then the F4, and then the H4.

I have an excuse. CRS.

That is an eary E4 because of the screw on spark plug wires.
That one was used on the number series tractors like the 10-20.
Later f-series tractors used the same mag except the cap was updated for the automotive style push on spark plug wires.

David, you sure came across some interesting stuff.
Wouldn't it be nifty to see those rebuilt and on a running tractor!

Re: and the second International Magneto
Ronny, I came across a couple complete engines as well in another place; I am trying to track down the owner. The old building is slowly falling in around them. They are just waiting for someone to buy them and resubmit to the tractor world! Not sure what they are other than old Farmall's and look complete. The problem is, they are near my place in Nebraska and I have limited time to play detective when there, perhaps this spring. More to come....
