Opinions on Tirechains.com double ring chains

Postby kiob » Tue Jan 25, 2005 10:33 pm

I bit the bullet and ordered them. The '52 cub w/54 blade did well without them in 16" of snow without chains until asked to reverse up a gentle incline on icy asphalt. It has ag tires and 150lb rear wheel weights.

I'm sure someone has had experience with these chains and I'd like to know your opinion! I wound general utility chain around the tires to get out of the situation on this occasion. (my one buddy refers to my front yard as the Stalingrad tank trap---30+' down into the creek)

Steve, I think you will be well pleased with your purchase. It's good to see you coming out of lurk mode. Welcome to the board!

If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem.

BD, glad to hear you approve of these chains! Nice to be back and see all the familiar names. :D

I was just out doing some more plowing with the Cub and fashionably attired wearing my red *-?-!* CUB OWNER cap. 8)

Steve
