This past Saturday was indeed a busy day, Carm, Boss Hog, Bill Shaver and me first attended the Mt. Solon threshing day and we enjoyed the reminders of a by gone erea. My neighbor Dan Hadacek ( Dr. Dan) has this event every year. This year he had a small portion of his field reserved for harvesting with a binder and another neighbor brought in his team of horses to bring the grain to the thresher. here is the link to the pics.

If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem.

Yes that is true, I went to Dan's early saturday morning and helped him "make steam" and also he and I belted the thresher ( with the aid of the machine manual ).I am considering going to the engineers school to be certified. We have a school approx. 50 miles away, the same school that Dan went to before he bought his engine. The school is conducted on weekends and the cost is reasonable and they provide meals and lodging.
