Greetings Everyone -
Just thought I'd share one of my latest acquisition...I bought it out of Georgia for $500...supposedly runs but needs work on the PTO bearings (weak point of the Lo-Boys). I'm going to strip it down and overhaul it and it should make a great working machine around my farm here in Saluda, SC. It also came with the mowing deck which is not in any better shape but I may be able to salvage it. I still need to get pictures of my FCub and get them posted over on the Cub forum as well... I've already kickstarted my wife on coming up with names...
Later fellas,
James

Looks better than most of the numbered series I have purchased in the past. The rumors you have heard about the PTO are not really true. Actually well made clutches but likely it does need some adjustment.
I have the same seat style on one of my 154s. Get a wet seat when I sit on it after it rains, always forget to flip it up and that foam will hold alot of water.

That's definitely a nice find. I'd be REAL careful when taking off the fiberglass grill. That one looks to be in really good shape, and you cannot find replacement ones, so take your time with it. If it is damaged, get it to someone who knows fiberglass repair or even a body shop, and they can make it look like new. It's rare to find one that the bottom piece is still in tact.

Bill - Thanks for the advice and yes, the grill is in good shape with only a small ding and a crack that I'm going to try and find a fiberglass person to repair. Also, I noticed in your profile that you own a '65 Ford 3000... as do I, 3-cyl diesel. Is there a cental forum for the Ford owners?

Correction guys!! - I need to get the hang of these tractors: my serial number is actually #21445 but it is preceded by the 20001120. I registered my machine here with the 21445 number and I hope that's correct. Sorry for the mislead on the serial number!

I have gotten the plastic and foam at either TSC or Northern Tool, don't remember which.

Congrats and a great price too. We can't buy a cub cadet for $500 here. Let alone a runner lately.
I found there's nothing wrong with the PTO if the PO repaired it correctly and didn't try to band aid it. I'm repairing my PTO and 3260 mower deck right now before the mowing season starts here.
If you grind and sand that front grill housing while its on the tractor you can bondo the outside. Then remove it and use the webbing on the inside and bondo that too after sanding it clean too. I been repairing mine little by little.

A int154 just sold here on ebay in CT for $300 i believe. It needed a little extra TLC and some missing parts but it was a great deal anyhoo. I wonder if someone here got it? It had wheel weights and just the wheel weights were worth it. I could of had number #4 but i let it go. Bill
