I, too, am very honored to be co-winner of the "Most Authentic Shop Setting" award, and to share it with such a great (and old school) Cubber like the Bigdog is a dream come true. Merry Christmas, everyone.

I am honored by the award as well. What is also impressive, is that it was not only built in 8 hours, but they took an hour or so off to eat and let the rain go by us, at least the heavy down pour.

Well, how about that award!!!
Since my pictures were taken at DSCF, I'll have to defer my award to my best friend Mr. Billy Ray. He is in charge of the weather for the Fests, so........... good job, buddy!

Re: Cub House Shop Photos
Wow, I never expected an award for my efforts. I guess I better start to prepare my acceptance speech for the presentaton. My work on both buildings has been slowed quite a bit by having to go to work during the day. I'm trying to get them to let me work from home so I can get more projects done around here. They said they would think about it.
As for other awards, I notice Denny made his entry after winners were announced, but I think he should be considered for the "Shop With The Biggest Set of Tools" award. I have been in his shop and was impressed.

There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

I still don't know how I missed that wrench when I was touring Denny's shop. Must have had a red Super M glaze over my eyes.

Re: Cub House Shop Photos
Here's mine, much more humble than the rest of y'all, but I built her myself. Well, mostly by myself. While building the wall frames, my next door neighbor came over with his hammer, grabbed a handful of nails, and started hammering. A perfect example of our neighborhood - we don't ask if someone could use a hand, we just pitch right in.
She's 10x16. I modified the plans; widening the door from five to six feet to clear the Woods mower and the snow blade, and adding a door to the back so I can get to my push mower, string trimmer, etc.

Re: Cub House Shop Photos
Here is some pictures of my shops, yes I now have two,
My welding and machine shop was to big to heat and cool,
And right after I turned 64 I had had enough,
So I got a small 12 X 16 storage shed to turn into a small machine shop.
I put in a lot of insulation and covered it with 3/8 OSB and put in A/C & Heat
And had to buy a new smaller milling machine,
Told Wife the Old Big one wouldn’t Fit. IT Worked Ha. Ha.
And my German Shepherd Jerry Lea Loves the new shop also.
Inside the small machine shop.

Re: Cub House Shop Photos
Thanks to everyone who posted their shop photos. Last month I had a 30 by 40 shop built and I am currently moving my stuff into it so my wife can use our 2 car garage to actually park a car or two inside. The new shop is like a blank slate and I have begun putting shelves in, then bringing stuff down from the garage. At first it was easy to organize, but as it has filled up I needed to change my ideas as I went. I really appreciate the inside photos others have posted to get ideas on hanging stuff from the walls, and maybe the rafters. The trick is making it usable with efficient use of space. It's a good thing I am retired now and have some time on my hands. However, I have returned to college after a 45 year absence and that takes up much of my day.
Here's what I have so far:
The inside photo was taken last week and a lot of stuff has been added since then. A lot of it is on the floor waiting for me to decide how to proceed. After seeing the postings in this thread I now have the ideas of others to pick and choose from.
Thanks,
Ed
