Ye Haw got a new toy I've been wanted a mid sized tractor 40-50 hp for working in the woods three years ago. My brother Tommy disagreed and said we should get a skid steer since it could do a lot that a tractor couldn't do. So we have been looking off and on for a skidsteer for two years. They have been either too much, too far away or junk. I was looking for a Cat 236B. But we came across this JD 250 with 2580hrs that was the size we were looking for its got foot pedals which I don't like but I hope to change it to pilot controls. 64 hp turbo diesel 3 cylinder came with a bucket, pallet forks and the optional weight box so it has a 2100 working load and 3600lb lift capacity. It also has aux hyd on the boom so I can get a grapple bucket and a hyd posthole digger.
It runs great starts without any smoke and was well taken care of. It also has all new rubber. To say the least I can't wait for the ground to freeze so I can give it a workout.

Thanks Bill
We have been looking a long time but I think this one will do us well.
Thanks Rudi
I never cared for how much they bounce around. But their versatility and the way they work in the woods and tight quarters can't be beat. I'll be ordering a grapple bucket monday Sure is going to be nice to pick up logs by myself and clean up all those brush piles

Congrats on the skid steer. Very handy machine to have, they have about 100 uses. I have access to a Case 1845C that has saved my back on many occasions.

Thanks TwoTone
Thats one we were looking at too. Supposed to be a very dependable machine. While I have a few loaders they are either too big or small to use in the woods. As you said a very handy machine

If you can't fix it with a hammer, you've got an electrical problem.
