I have a 1320 cadet, my daughter was mowing this morning and it quit moving.
The belt is tight and the rear pulley- fan is turning normally, and the fluid level is fine, but no go.
Is there any diagnostic work I can do, or is this just a case of replacement only?

Dave: just looked at the parts reakdown on thet and the nly simple thing I can see is the key in the belt pulley sheared but that isn't likely. I had a 1320 andwas told they had troubles with that peerless hydro.
The Geezer from IHregistry.com which crashed and is now Cub Cadet Collectors.

Well I finally got around to pulling the transaxle out of the 1320.
The first thing I discovered is that it is a Cub Cadet Corp. differential and a Sauer-Sundstrand hyrdo unit.
The problem turned out to be the couplings between the two units, there are 4 couplings to join the input and output shafts from and to the differential, the shafts are finely splined with brass couplings that slide onto the shafts, one of the couplings was stripped.
$5.50 ea. from the local Case dealer.
