Farmall A EngineHi, I have a 1940 non-electric farmall A with a cracked block and I traded some parts for another engine. This new engine has the serial # M 203446 FAA Stamped on it. I think this is a newer engine. Will it work as a transplant on my tractor? I got just the striped down block so I don't know if it needs a water pump or not. Any advise would be very helpful. Thanks
Re: Farmall A EngineIt should work. Super A engines would be above 250001, although a Super A engine should bolt in also.
I have a 40 A parts tractor, and it must've gotten a replacement block. The casting code is 1942 on it and it has no serial number stamped on it at all. Al "12 volt conversions are for quitters"
IH's are RED. Just say NO to yellow and white! Let us pray for farmers and all who prepare the soil for planting, that the seeds they sow may lead to a bountiful harvest.
Re: Farmall A EngineShould work fine. My 1946 A has a 1945 B motor. Same engine was used for a lot of them
