Postby tmays » Thu Jun 14, 2012 8:18 pm

Anyone know if there is a 12V sealed beam headlight that will work in the original housing on a 100? The flat back housing Thanks

When I did the Super A I did a Google on GE. They have the specs on every lamp they make.

you can modify a conventional 12v sealed beam bulb to work.. you have to grind the index bumps and run a ground wire, but it will work fine and only the learned will know the difference.
I've never met a tractor I didn't like....but I have found some that were greatly annoying....

Check my How-To on this in the How-To section.

Even the standard sealed beams are getting EXPENSIVE. Tractor Supply just doubled their prices here in the last 6 months, and went from Wagners to some cheap brand.

If you have a harbor freight tool store in the area you can get these CHEAP:

Harvest the bulb. It's the same dimensions as a standard 4511 sealed beam, and the indexing tabs are steel so they are easier to cut off.
