Re: Buzzard Wing's b1rthday
I refuse to acknowledge birthdays...unless I get free food. Got my first set of glasses today, not sure the first thing to go.... but I am sticking with the eyes
Had a great day yesterday, old friend was down from Maine and his grandson and son in law were up from GA for the day. So we went to Ft Adams to see the races. They were over by the time we got there, but free parking is good and there is still a lot to see. In the morning I was gawking at my neighbors, the Osprey family. Guess the Koi pond at the rich guy's house made them comfortable enough that they have 3 little ones. Like any family, there is one that appears to be the bossy one. Nuttin but work today.... I have tickets for the races tomorrow (for the mowing and stuff). All is good here, things don't get any better than this! Thanks for the good wishes!

Sounds like you had a great B1rthday, Larry. If you can still remember it, that is a good sign...

Re: Buzzard Wing's b1rthday
I have been told there is a RI tradition that you get a week for your birthday.... called Birthday Week.
At any rate, I had tickets for the 'America's Cup World Series' races yesterday. Benefits of mowing etc. Really quite a success from what I can tell. Managed to find myself in the SW bastion (essentially the first big guns a ship would face coming into the bay). Best view of the whole course anywhere. One of the helo's scared me a bit when he flew by at eye level. But other than that, it was truly a perfect day (except the part where I saw how much my mowing is way overdue)... Later I watched them pick a boat with the giant crane. Not sure how tall, but the mast is 70' (Seee if you can guess my altitude from the last picture). Things don't get any better than that.

Re: Buzzard Wing's b1rthday
Larry, NBC showed the two USA boats in a match race, and then the fleet race with 8. Looked like it would have been fun. I saw Ft. Adams, but couldn't pick you out of the crowd.
