Should I go back out?
I have been working around the fence line and mowed a little. I figured I would take a short break in the AC and go back at it. After seeing this on the kitchen counter I am having second thoughts!
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

There is nothing outside that needs to get done that bad.

I know those of us with heart issues, DO NOT "NEED" TO go out in these temps, and I am definitely limiting my exposure.

That is the same temperature shown on the bank thermometer this afternoon. We came home, I made a dash into the house and here I am going to stay. The only exception might be a dash for the woodshop. I leave the ac there on 24/7, something I have never done before. Vern

That's awful. Hitting 3-digits is extremely rare here. But I'm working in the city and with all the pavement and concrete, it's just miserable. I am in and out of vehicles a lot. Often have to park in the sun.
I say, when you get your shop walled off, an AC and ceiling fans to give you a cool place to work.

I don't know how we survived growing up with no air conditioning in cars or in the house. We didn't even have a fan in the house until probably the late 60's.

Re: Should I go back out?
Well it's been almost three hours since posting this. The work just isn't going to get done by itself so I went out right after hitting the submit button and got pretty much done. It took two quart bottles of gator-ade to keep me going (in more ways than one) but I survived. And to think I hated that stuff when I had my colonoscopy!
Bob, I have a large wall mount AC unit that is only a couple of years old that was given to me. Hopefully, next year, the shop will be done and I can put that baby to work.
I agree with tha, I lived through those years. Summer nights were miserable trying to sleep. Most people today scream and holler if there power is off for just a few hours and they had no AC. They should have lived back then.
Well, time to go taste test another of those Magnum Mint ice cream bars!

You guys make me think. I have no recall of a fan in my parent's house, until later years. All those nights in my room on the second floor... and there was just one small window... I'm sure fans were invented and available, why didn't we have one?
First fan in house, 1971, when I'm 18 years old
First AC vehicle: my '89 Ranger, when I'm 36 years old. The '65 F250 and the '78 F250, was it even available?

Bob, did you have electricity, before then? kind of a requirement, for fans, unless your dog was good, on a treadmill! Ed

Bill, Change your thermometer to read Celcius. It'll make you think you feel a lot cooler.

There were fans in the barn, to keep the cows cool. But none in the house. Never really thought about this before.

I guess your parents weren't trying to milk you. The cows supported the family more than you did!
