I came home today with a farmall B high crop that I aquired a while ago. It is pretty rough, but looks really cool. The engine serial # puts it at a 1940 model, #28xxx about 20,000 in a run of about 35,000
I traded for it, 'cause I think it looks cool, and the deal was right. I am curious about the rear wheels. I believe they were F12, 14 or 20 steel wheels that were converted to take a 38" rim for a rubber tire. The tractor is a bit rough, no tins, motor stuck, but I took a gamble that the rims were where the value in it was.
Can anyone tell me if or what the value of this type of rim is? The tractor is for sale if anyone would like to make an offer.
Here are some pics.

Very interesting! Kinda looks like one of those huge 1890's bikes with the large wheel on the front. Like a tractor on stilts!!

Re: Farmall B High Crop
they look like typical cutoffs from an F series. i never measured the bolt pattern to sse if they would fit on a letter series tractor - interesting. cutoffs are not in much demand. F & H round spokes bring more if they are not rotted out.

Art I would love to find an old A or B motor, and a set of usable tires, just to drive it around at shows. Would also need some very rusty tins.

Re: Farmall B High Crop
i got to thinkin. our F12 has adjustable axles which makes me think the F20 was the same. so smeone must have used A/B centers to make those? or W series rims, perhaps. we've got a 1020 carcass out at the farm, i'll have to look at the rear end.

Those wheels remind me of my late Uncle's H that was bought on steel and later converted to rubber.

I always liked the looks of the H cutoffs, but there is no way to put weights on them.danovercash wrote:Those wheels remind me of my late Uncle's H that was bought on steel and later converted to rubber.

Went to their site and watched the video "Three tractors that were never made", very interesting!
