I was working in the barn today and decided to move the Ferguson out side for a while to get it out of the way. I bought this just before a bunch of Cubs started showing up and it got pushed to the back. I found it in our local paper about six years ago for a hard to pass up price. The seller said his dad had rebuilt the engine twenty years ago. After the dad died the son sold it to a friend of his. It developed a fuel leak at the sediment bowl and the seller told his friend he needed to repair it. Well the new owner figured it would be okay with a little leak. After the fire it sat for three years before the son bought it back. The son lost interest and it sat for another year before he listed it in our local weekely paper. That's when I got it and replaced the plugs, plug wires, distributor cap, points, coil, battery, ignition switch, sediment bowl, starter switch, and all the wiring. It runs pretty good.
The rear tires that came on it are worth more than the tractor cost me.

A little time with my Ferguson.
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

I'd like to add a Ferguson to the stables one of these days. Nice tractor.

Re: A little time with my Ferguson.
I have an 8N Ford and have raked hay twice this summer, the Ferguson an Fords of that era are very reliable, rugged and useful with the 3 point. I love the Cubs, but am also very fond of the Ferguson / Fords.
Berlin
P.S. I've, never met an old tractor that I didn't like !
