My name is Wes and I am the proud new owner of a 1952 Cub with a 60in Servis BM60 belly mower. This forum has been a life saver over the past few weeks. I purchased a non-runner that the engine had just become stuck. I was under the impression that It would be a mild restore job that I could finish before grass season 2013. But this has turned into a full rebuild. The engine has bad valve seats and has revealed cracking in the lower right corner. I have big job ahead of me, But am proud to do it. I will post some pictures soon.
Thank you to everyone for providing all of the information on this site to make projects like this possible

Welcome to the forum Wes. You'll have fun working on your Cub and you will have plenty of good help right here if you have any questions.
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

Hello Wes,
I have not been a member very long, but would like to say welcome. I just got the engine on a 53 cub back together (my first) after it had been stuck. The manuals at top of page are great. If you need help someone here will be glad to point you in the right direction.
Paul

I know I am a few days late, but welcome aboard WES. You will find many people on this forum who have vast amounts of knowledge about these little tractors. I love learning and am glad to be a part of this site. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

Wes:
G'day to you and congrats on acquiring your very 1st new to you Cub You might find them pretty addictive and hard to limit to just one. Like Berlin said, a few days late -- on Saturday we were deep into projects at CubFest Northeast including Berlin's engine braces.
