Just got a notice that my s/s went up $19.00 a month. I guess I'm worth it.

Let's just hope that after the children in Congress and the White House get finished, that you end up with a gain and not a loss.

Gee, I only got $17. Sure is not keeping up with COLA here in TN. Can't imagine what you folks in those high dollar states get by.

Re: I'm rich!
Congratulations of the big pay off. Folks I won $4- in the 3/4 billion dollar mega power ball contest about a month ago. And I only spent $6- to win the $4.
Cub perspective. My .017% SSAN increase comes to 3.6 gallons of extra gasoline per month at the current price of $3.109 a gallon or about 4.8 hours of mowing.
Didn't keep up with inflation in Missouri either. Fuel, groceries, and some other items are not considered in the inflation index when the Federal Gov. calculates inflation.

I have an excuse. CRS.

The way is looks now it may be a break even or possibility a loss. I’m hoping the lower/middle income people like me will get a break, but it looks like rich are going to get richer and the rest of us are going to pay for it.….Will see….

That's what happened to me. The premium increase more than offset the COLA. Going backwards.

Re: I'm rich!
You're right Brent, my medicare went up to $104.90 per month. Oh well, still a lot less than I was paying before Medicare.
I guess the secret is to try to stay healthy.

Amen to that Roy. You can’t believe what my health care cost is for coverage…. A whole bunch more than $105 per month and plus deductibles’/ co-pays and what the insurance company decides what to pay or not to pay. A few more months and I’m on Government care …I’m sorry Medicare thank God!

Don't forget that you have already paid a premium for Medicare for most, if not all, of your working career. It may not be as cheap as you think.

Re: I'm rich!
My heath insurance at work went up 30% because I hit 60. Every 5 years they apply the ratchet and it sure was a jolt.
