I like those studs, has to make life much easier. My IH stamped carriage bolts won't do that, but I think I'll keep them anyway. (if I can find them when the weights go back on.) I was wondering about putting bushings on the weight bolts, any comments?

I don’t understand about the bushings…for ease of application?

Nice work shop. Been thinking of what size of out-building would be a good size. What is the size of your shop?
BTW: I like that spray booth idea!

Thanks for the great pictures of your workshop and spraying booth. I am !!envious!!. Great equipment for working with and so clean that (one could eat one's dinner off the floor) . I imagine that it takes a lot of careful work to keep it that clean. A fine working environment. Enjoy!!!

Awesome all the way around! I have only seen one set of those 'spiky' chains before.... and they are mine. Those should give excellent traction, even with turf tires.

Re: Time to put the weights and chains on..Pics
Another trick to keep the carriage bolts in place when you install weights is to use a 5/8" garden hose washer or cut off slices of a 5/8" heater hose to make them, they will slide down the bolt and keep it in place while installing the weight, it just squashes into place when installed

The bushing would take up some of the slop betweeen the smaller carriage bolt and the larger hole in the weight.

Thanks for looking...
Automatic Train Control...A system of Vital Safety interlocks to keep subway cars on track... occupancy on the track, speed commands, train spacing on the rail, track switching via " Interlockings" , door commands..left or right..etc etc...

You are trying to protect the threads on the bolts?? My carriage bolts are off the shelf...1/2 by 4 by ? TPI..makes getting the weights off and on SAFE and easy..They fit the weights pretty tight...not sure if you could fit a bushing over them and still get the weight on..... keep your IH bolts for when you sell..Haha like that would happen... Thanks for looking...Tom

Thanks...I thought that was a slick idea myself....You are only seeing in the pics about 2/3 of my shop...32 by 40..the area I'm using in the pics???? probably about 32 by 28..As BIG as you can afford and fit...if in doubt...go BIGGER...
