Re: DSCF 2013 Projects
I was considering bringing an older style Cole planter with a side-dresser for some help re-assembling. If I can get the various parts sand blasted and primed, it should go back together fairly well. Parts are not heavy and would make a nice tail-gate project. It would not be for sale, but I'd sure like to get it going by spring. Couple of cups of coffee and a few tall tales and it would be done.....if there's any interest.

Re: DSCF 2013 Projects
Bring it on, Harold, sounds like a real interesting project. I just don't know where in the world we will find any tall tales.

Re: DSCF 2013 Projects
good morning guys from the deep south. i have a little problem i'm just not sure where to start . my '78 3/4 has a little miss/popping for a minute or two when i first start it . valves were ok, timing seems ok(timing light , guessed at rpm). i bought a petronix ignition , but reluctant to install , i'm not much on electrical . it also has developed a strange, barely audible grinding /growling sound around the clutch area. brand new installed two years or so ago, been lubing the tob, but inspection through the hole looks fine . if i cant get these gremlins removed , would like to bring her and get some second opinions. coppersmythe.......................PS: might be a little boudin in the mix

Silvey's coming.
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

Looking forward to Feb. 14th. It is going down to 15 degrees tonight here in sunny Tennessee. You think that Roy would notice if Four big old boys from TN showed up about 3 weeks early. We could sleep in the tractor building.

Re: DSCF 2013 Projects
Harold and Val, I'd be interested in y'all's projects. I've only seen pics of a Cole planter. And Val I've got excessive noise in one of mine, so diagnosis of yours would be educational for me

Re: DSCF 2013 Projects
Mr. E, B Ray, and Raymond,
I will bring my magneto tool kit with me if anyone wants a magneto looked over or repaired. I'll also be glad to pitch in on any other project that needs help. Other than that, I will be swapping and trading something (parts, guns, cubs, food items, or stories) with Redfin, so I can feel totally abused by the time I get back to South Carolina!
Just Kidding, Jim! Looking forward to seeing everyone there!

Knowing who one of dem big ole boys will be, I don't think any of us might get in much sleep time. Right, Steve??

Thanks, Rick. Your assistance with the mags and carbs is always much appreciated, as well as the other repairs you always assist with.
Abused?? by trading with Jim? How could you possibly think such thoughts?

Re: DSCF 2013 Projects
Heck Roy--whats a little lost sleep when you have such a neat homestead and shop??!! May bring one of Ron and my "Hardees Breakfast Buddies" with us this time--he's had a heck of a time the last 2 months. His sidekick, Hunter, 13 year old Golden died last Monday and his mother died yesterday. He's really a great tractor friend and think it would do him good (if Ron and I can talk him into it) to mix with the Cub gang and just relax talking tractors! Looking forward to the DSCF as always! Ron pegged it on being cold--we had 2 old hounds using jumper cables on a rabbit yesterday morning! Believe they wanted to do a 12 volt conversion!!

Re: DSCF 2013 Projects
Steve, by all means, bring your Breakfast Buddy along. We'll fix him a sausage rollup that will make hardees ashamed to even be in the business.
