Anyone ever notice this?..picsWorking on the project 58 cub again...getting her ready for the first coat of primer..while wire wheeling the steering support. Got down close to bare metal when I noticed YOUNGSTOWN YC cast into the support.

Re: Anyone ever notice this?..picsCan't help but wonder if the steering support has a manufacturer's mark in it. They just happened to get the end of the pipe that had the manufacturer's mark on it when they made your steering support.
The ID tag is very interesting. Al "12 volt conversions are for quitters"
IH's are RED. Just say NO to yellow and white! Let us pray for farmers and all who prepare the soil for planting, that the seeds they sow may lead to a bountiful harvest.
Re: Anyone ever notice this?..picsThat's really cool. Thats the thing with these machines, You never know how many hands have been on them. It's nice to see another MD member. There were a lot of cubs in this area to tend to the Tobacco. Mine has lived its life in pretty small area (Davidsonville) its whole life.
Re: Anyone ever notice this?..picsI have seen that on the steering post before

Re: Anyone ever notice this?..picsI have seen the steering post with youngstown on it a lot over the years. The pipe for the post was made at Youngstown sheet & tube back in the day. Youngstown ohio. The tag was probabley installed by the original owner. Probabley a business of some kind.
Collector of Farmall cubs and cub cadets.Injoy helping people keep their cubs running. Years of experipnce.
Re: Anyone ever notice this?..picsI have at least one tractor with the same showing.

Re: Anyone ever notice this?..picsAll of my sister's in-laws worked at Youngstown Sheet & Tube back in the day. Her husband worked there on summer breaks in college and her father in law worked there 30 or 40 years. I can remember going to Youngstown in the '70s for visits. It is a completely different town now. They still have Elmton Pizza, Handel's Ice Cream & Carchedi's

Re: Anyone ever notice this?..picsI have a cub with a tag on it also. Mine is a asset tag from Hormel.
