I finally moved Dad's tractors out of his shed and brought them home to mine. The cub is a mostly original '48 that still has standard sizing within the engine. One of the best running cubs I've ever been around. Hand cranks very easily, and everything works as it should. Slight whine in 2nd gear but nothing that needs attention right now. The Cub Cadet is a '61 Original, it runs but does need some attention, and has the correct mowing deck. I'll have to spend some time with it in hope of getting it running better.

Harold:
Mr. Jesse's Cubs look very nice indeed. That '48 is gorgeous.
I do know how hard this is for you. It has been almost 17 years for me. However, every time you go out to the shed, you will have something physical to connect with him.
Enjoy playing with them and remember all the great times.

That's a couple of old cubs to be proud of. You'll certainly cherish those for years to come. I'll have to come over one day and look them over. Enjoy!

I know they are staying in a good home. Glad you have them.
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

Re: New Home for old Cubs
Oh boy, a mini fest the end of May could be nice. I think I'm going to be in Lafayette the week of Memorial Day. Even though I only get to see the grand kids a couple times a year, a day away on my own might be nice.

That is a nice set. It is nice that you got to keep your Dad's tractors.

Re: New Home for old Cubs
I too know the pain of that loss Harold. I wish I had any of my Dad's old tractors, especially this one...
I know, not a Cub but...probably my very first tractor ride.
