After my fuel problem was fixed, my boy was trying out the new disk and the fan belt started sceeching. I thought it was probably just water on the belt, but then I saw the fan blade wasn't spinning. Tried to move it and it was locked tight. Spent forever pulling the radiator, finally got it off and the fan was locked tight. Wiggled it a bit and then it freed up. I assume it is a flat spot in the bearing and I guess I need to have the bearing pressed out? Anyone ever had this problem? Also need a new radiator gasket if anyone has a suggestion as to where to get one.
Edit: Could it just need to be oiled there at the plug in the bearing housing??

Metal parts that are not lubricated tend to bind and then seize.

Re: More trouble...fan bearing??
First, you should see what you are dealing with. parts breakdown below. No bearings in the traditional sense.
Next, your edited comment may be the issue. If you never followed the recommendations for lubrication in the Owner's manual, you may have missed the fan hub. You are not the first if this is the case.

Thanks, will oil and see how it goes..... used to Ford tractors, just got this Cub from my Dad a few weeks ago so it is all new to me, I've never had to service it and since he passed away last weekend, I don't have him to ask about it. Appreciate all the help.

Re: More trouble...fan bearing??
Our sincerest condolences to you and yours on losing your Dad. (+) It has been 16-1/2 years for me and it still feels like yesterday ... I miss his counsel and I miss him. It will become easier in time....
I thought I had posted the Welcome Wagon when you first joined our little community, so I searched. Found it - Re: 1963 Farmall Cub Red Square Nose. Suggest that you take a little time and read the Owner's Manual - this one is close enough - International Cub Lo-Boy Operator's Manual 8-1-63. There are lots of resources for our membes, it just takes a bit of time to get through the links.

Plenty of people here that can fix you up with a good used one.
Sorry to hear about your Dad's passing. My Mom passed just 2 months ago.....

If you take yours apart, the one in Bob's diagram shows item 8 the oil slinger installed backwards.
If you are not part of the solution,

What John said! Had to do mine twice. Second time was because I put it together wrong. You may be able to clean up the damage with appropriate abrasive materials. That's what I did. Been working fine longer than I can remember.

Re: More trouble...fan bearing??
They did not correct that diagram until 1975! I noted every manual I have with a callout tool to note which were correct and which were going in the wrong direction. I'll send Dennis new pdf's and Rudi new individual page jpegs.
Here is a good one:

Re: More trouble...fan bearing??
Enlightening. I took mine apart yesterday. I would have put it together incorrectly. In my haste I did not notice how it came out.
